Busy Night? These Pantry Staples Save Me!

If you’ve ever opened the pantry at dinnertime and found yourself in full-on “What’s for dinner?!” panic mode… I get it. Life is BUSY. Some days you’re lucky just to get everyone to the table. 🙋‍♀️

That’s why I keep a few trusty pantry staples on hand at all times. These little lifesavers have helped me skip many a drive-thru line — and today I’m sharing them with YOU!

Here are my Top 5 Pantry Staples that save my bacon (and dinner!):


🥫 1️⃣ Canned Beans (black beans, chickpeas, white beans)
Protein, fiber, and FAST — canned beans are a lifesaver. You can throw them in taco bowls, mash them into wraps, or toss them in salads. Dinner, done!

🍝 2️⃣ Pasta & Grains (spaghetti, penne, rice, quinoa)
You can’t go wrong with a good pasta or grain. Cook it up, add whatever veggies or proteins you have, and boom — meal magic.

🍅 3️⃣ Canned Tomatoes (crushed, diced, sauce)
The ultimate flavor booster. I use canned tomatoes for pasta sauces, soups, and even a quick shakshuka (eggs in tomato sauce). So versatile!

🐔 4️⃣ Shelf-Stable Protein (canned chicken, tuna, salmon, tofu)
When you forget to defrost meat (guilty!), canned or shelf-stable proteins are your best friend. Chicken salad, tuna melts, salmon rice bowls — so many options!

🥫 5️⃣ Jarred Sauces & Seasoning Mixes (salsa, pesto, teriyaki, taco seasoning)
Flavor in a jar, baby! Salsa chicken, pesto pasta, quick stir-fries — a jarred sauce can turn basic ingredients into something special FAST.
