Confessions of a former drive thru queen………
Cooking was never my thing. I could heat things up like a pro, but beyond that? Not so much. My specialty? Knowing the fastest route to every drive-thru in town. Want Whataburger? I had everyone’s order memorized. Craving Bill Miller BBQ? No problem—I was already in line. Looking back, I cringe a little, feeling like I did my kids a disservice by relying so heavily on fast food.
Then one day, something unexpected happened. A co-worker invited me to a Pampered Chef party. Truth be told, it wasn’t the first invite—I had been saying “no” to these parties for years. But for some reason, I said “yes” this time. Divine intervention, maybe? Who knows. But that simple “yes” ended up changing my life.
Walking into that party, I didn’t know what to expect. I certainly didn’t think I’d leave with a whole new outlook on cooking. But as I watched the consultant use Pampered Chef tools to whip up a meal—and then tasted that meal—I was hooked. It wasn’t just the food (although it was amazing); it was the realization that I could do this too. If she could create something delicious and simple, why couldn’t I?
Now, let me be honest—my transformation wasn’t instant. I didn’t walk out of that party and immediately become a culinary whiz. It took six months of thinking, wondering, and doubting before I finally took the leap and joined Pampered Chef. I was nervous, but deep down, I knew it was something I needed to try.
That leap of faith was the best decision I’ve ever made. Pampered Chef didn’t just teach me how to cook—it gave me confidence, joy, and a new way to connect with my family. Instead of being the drive-thru queen, I became someone who could put a healthy, homemade meal on the table. And let me tell you, nothing beats the feeling of seeing your family enjoy something you made from scratch.
Today, as a Pampered Chef consultant, I get to help others experience the same transformation. Whether they’re seasoned cooks or self-proclaimed “heater-uppers” like I was, I love showing people how easy and fun cooking can be.
So, if you’ve ever thought, “I’m not a cook,” I’m here to tell you—you can be. Sometimes, all it takes is the right tools, a little encouragement, and a leap of faith. Trust me, it’s worth it.
